Mel­tem Arslan

Mel­tem Ars­lan, born 1982.
First of all she did her Bache­lor Degree in Elec­tro­nics and Telecom­mu­ni­ca­ti­ons­tech­nics as an Engeneer at the Yil­diz Techin­cal Uni­ver­si­ty in Istan­bul. After working as an engeneer for a long time she deci­ded in 2011 to con­ti­nue stu­dies, but this time she deci­ded for arts. From 2011 – 2016 she stu­di­ed at the Uni­ver­si­ty of fine Arts in Istan­bul, but had also a few stays in Dres­den while this time. From 2013–2014 she was doing an Eras­mus Scho­l­ar­s­hip at the HfBK Dres­den. She con­ti­nued this stay one year more in Dres­den, also without the scho­l­ar­s­hip. During her who­le art stu­dies she focu­sed on sculp­tures and plastics. Bes­i­des her stu­dies at the HfBK in inter­de­sci­pli­na­ry and expe­ri­men­tal pan­ting she spend the last past year from 2016 – 2017 also at the Tech­ni­cal Uni­ver­si­ty Dres­den and was a guest stu­dent of Light­weight Engenee­ring and Poly­mer Technology.
