Luise Ritter, born 1987 in Leipzig, lives and works in Halle/Saale and Leipzig.

Luise Ritters drawings reveal a perplexing view on our everyday surroundings. The inside is turned to the outside and made visible. The beholder gets drawn into a pencil-measured world and runs the risk of loosing himself in the richness of details of the depicted rooms, streets and landscapes.

Space plays an important role in Luise Ritters work. Image space is created on one hand within her drawings, on the other hand her works intervene with the space that surrounds them, either classically with pens on paper in a frame or with the use of different materials, like window color and cardboard, formed in a sculptural way. – Lydia Wahrig
